Consultation on the CLH classification of Drometrizole

On 4 March 2024, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) launched a consultation on the German proposal for harmonised classification and labelling of Drometrizole, a UV absorber. The consultation will run until 3 May 2024.

2-(2H-benzotriazol-2-yl)-p-cresol (CAS No.: 2440-22-4, CE No.: 219-470-5, INCI: Drometrizole) is an ingredient listed in the Cosing, with the function: UV Absorber.
It is not currently regulated by European Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009nor in in Annex VI to European CLP Regulation 1272/2008.

Germany proposes to classify the substance as follows.
