January, 27 - China: CFDA consults on existing cosmetic ingredients
CFDA has published a notice to invite public comments on a consolidated Inventory of Existing Cosmetic Ingredients in China (IECIC 2014). Compared to IECIC 2003 which only contains 3265 cosmetic ingredients, the 2014 draft IECIC contains 8641 cosmetics ingredients. The deadline for comments is 20 Feb 2014.

ECHA has added another 7 new substances to the SVHC Candidate List, a list that now contains a total of 151 substances. The 7 substances are Cadmium sulphide, C.I. Direct Red 28, C.I. Direct Black 38, Dihexyl phthalate, Imidazolidine-2-thione (2-imidazoline-2-thiol), Lead di(acetate), and Trixylyl phosphate
