As part of its partnership with CosmeticOBS, Business France announces that, on December 31, 2019, China’s General Administration of Customs (GAC) announced the repeal of 447 industry standards relating to the inspection and quarantine of imported and exported products. The announcement came into effect on the date of its promulgation.
Of these repealed standards, sixteen concern the cosmetics sector. Here are the details and the reason for their repeal.
SN/T 2287-2009 - HACCP applied guidelines in cosmetics for import and export
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has published the standard ISO 22716:2007 “Cosmetics - Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) - Guidelines on Good Manufacturing Practice”.
China has adopted this standard and has formulated the standard SN/T 2359-2009 “Good Manufacturing Practices for Cosmetic Products for Import and Export”.
