A standard model of product sheet for Selective Perfumery

Considered for several years, the implementation of a standardized product sheet in the Selective Fragrance sector is finally effective. This product sheet conforms to the international standard and enables the manufacturer to provide its customers with all the information relating to the product it wishes to market.

All this has been made possible thanks to the consultation work that has been carried out, within GS1, between manufacturers and distributors in the Selective Fragrance sector, under the aegis of the two professional federations in the sector: the Fédération Française de la Parfumerie Sélective (FFPS) and the Fédération des Entreprises de la Beauté (FEBEA).

Logistics, marketing, regulatory or consumer data, such as images and product descriptions, are now referenced in a single medium. Allowing the harmonization of practices between different companies in the sector, in order to optimize and make reliable the information ultimately provided to the consumer.

The standard product sheet contains 68 data, 41 of which are mandatory. The remaining optional data are added if, for example, the cosmetic product contains alcohol or is packaged as an aerosol.

Use of the international product sheet exchange network

To be effective, this product sheet standard must be accompanied by data synchronization deployment. To exchange them, it is imperative to use a GDSN (Global Data Synchronisation Network) catalogue. This network consists of 32 GS1 certified electronic catalogues, interoperable with each other.
