Designating a Responsible Person, creating the Product Information File, notifying to the European Commission and updating the notification when needed … the regulatory requirements for a cosmetic company are onerous and sometimes complex. Sylvain-Romain Cotte, CEO of SRC Consulting, launches another company, International Beauty Office, "to render the European Regulation on cosmetics a mere formality."
November 17, 2011
Effective in January 2012, then fully implemented in July 2013, the new European Cosmetics Regulation makes it mandatory to answer new technical and administrative constraints:
• to guarantee the entire company complies with the current regulation on cosmetics,
• to notify to the European Commission the products placed on the market and to handle up-dates of this notification,
• to create the Product Information File (PIF) and to handle its up-dates.
Sylvain-Romain Cotte has launched this new company: International Beauty Office, to make it easier to comply with all these regulatory constraints. With Jean-Claude Le Joliff and Constance Vilain, he wants to supply cosmetics companies with simple and fast means, based on three points:
• to be the legal Responsible Person of your products placed on the European market,
• to do the mandatory European Notification of your products,
• to handle electronically the Product Information File via
www.DIP-Online.com
, a dedicated website, which will create, handle and upload the PIF.
Sylvain-Romain Cotte takes the opportunity of the Congrès Parfums & Cosmétiques (Conferences on Perfumes and Cosmetics) in Chartres, on November 23 and 24, to present officially this new service, IBO.
