Reopening of beauty salons and cosmetic shops: the FEBEA guidelines

Réouverture des salons et points de vente cosmétiques : les lignes directrices de la FEBEA

With a view to the gradual reopening of cosmetics sales stores (perfumeries, parapharmacies), hairdressing salons and beauty institutes, the FEBEA has just published three guides for different professionals (sales staff, hairdressers and beauticians). Their aim is to enable them to resume their activity with two objectives: to guarantee the best safety conditions, while maintaining a pleasant experience for customers.

Reading time
~ 1 minutes

These three guides explain the main guidelines on Covid 19 prevention, distancing rules and the use of cosmetic products. They concern information for staff and customers, cleaning of equipment and premises, protection of staff and customers, but also the organisation of the sales area (number of customers, waiting, services, etc.).
In addition, these guidelines are adapted to the specificities of each profession: for example, the handling of testers in perfumery, the performance of facial treatments in institutes or the cleaning of instruments by hairdressers, so as to facilitate as much as possible a quick “return to normal”.
These “Guidelines: COVID-19 prevention, distancing and cosmetic products” are available free of charge on the FEBEA website, in their three variations :
Application to retail stores
Application to hairdressing salons
Application to beauty salons
