Since January 2, 2025, the organizational chart of the French fragrance house TechnicoFlor has changed. François-Patrick Sabater has passed the baton to his son, Christophe Sabater, who now holds the position of General Director within the family business. The new CEO spoke to CosmeticOBS about his ambitions.

CosmeticOBS: CSR is one of TechnicoFlor’s priorities. What are you going to do in this area?
Christopher Sabater: My father was very early on the subject. We’ve been committed to sustainability and CSR for over 15 years, and have multiplied our initiatives, earning us the EcoVadis Platinum Medal. Among other things, we have launched biodegradable fragrance ranges, developed the FlorIndex fragrance eco-design tool (certified by AFNOR), which we are the only company in the industry to have, optimized our water and energy consumption, and created the Flor-Anthropy program to structure our support and sponsorship actions. It’s all part of our corporate culture, and we have no intention of stopping there. We are currently working on a new version of FlorIndex, which will enable us to measure the carbon impact of our fragrances. We recently recruited a CSR manager to support us in all these areas. It’s important to be a transparent company that fully respects its commitments and values.

CosmeticOBS: What role do new technologies play in your business?
