All forecasting firms advise cosmetic brands to conquer the digital world in order to offer a new customer experience to consumers. The Coty group has given in to the trend… for its employees. The group announced the creation of an internal Metaverse to allow everyone to acquire new skills.
The group, with the help of the technology agency Spatial, has developed a Metaverse to serve its 11,000 employees. Soberly named “Coty Campus”, the platform aims to allow each employee to train in order to evolve within the company.
“Coty is committed to being a leader in digital and continues to push the boundaries of innovation,” said Jean-Denis Mariani, Chief Digital Officer of Coty. “With Coty Campus, we are proud to leverage Web3 and Spatial’s gaming technology at a revolutionary scale to create new immersive experiences that will provide the most interactive solutions for collaboration and co-creation. Coty is thrilled to be the first beauty company to embark on this type of project.”
According to the group, this is the “first Metaverse” dedicated to corporate training.
To motivate employees, a phygital reward system, based on collecting objects, exploring places and completing quests, has been set up.
The Coty Campus will be inaugurated in the fall of 2023.
