Environmental crisis, societal revolutions, new relationships: standards are exploding and consumers are in a perpetual search for meaning. There is no longer any question of beauty brands and companies turning a deaf ear to these themes.
The cosmetics industry must also commit itself, be transparent and give more values to its activity in order to be part of a perennial dynamic.
But what is commitment?
This is a vast question, as this term encompasses notions with different contours. It is precisely in order to better understand the fundamental stakes of the contemporary changes that are shaking up society, and by ricochet the exercise of the beauty professions, that the CEW-France brought together 25 speakers for its 3rd edition of the Beauty Day, organised in Paris on June 25, 2019. The event, organized around the theme “Big Commitment, how far to go to succeed”, gave concrete ideas to the actors of the cosmetics industry. The importance of CSR, the rise of clean cosmetics, the need to turn to greener packaging, new identity issues or the appropriateness of care programs for sick people, all these topics were discussed during this day.
