ECHA has published the updated Community rolling action plan (CoRAP) for the years 2022, 2023 and 2024. It includes a total of 27 substances to be assessed (compared to 58 in the 2021 version and 74 in the 2020 version). This “skimming” is justified by the fact that new information is still to be submitted. 10 substances to be assessed can be used in cosmetic products, including one that was added to the list this year, 12 have been removed from the list.

The Community rolling action plan (CoRAP) update for the years 2022-2024 lists 27 substances suspected of posing a risk to human health or the environment, for evaluation by 10 Member State competent authorities, under the substance evaluation process of the REACH Regulation (EC) No.1907/2006 (Articles 44 to 48).
The plan contains two newly allocated substances and 25 substances already included in the previous CoRAP 2021-2023 update, published on 17 March 2021.
For 20 out of these 25 substances the evaluation year has been postponed, mainly to await submission of new information.

Out of the 27 substances to be evaluated, 4 are to be evaluated in 2022, 14 in 2023 and 9 in 2024. However, changes may be introduced for substances listed for years 2023 and 2024 in the next CoRAP update in 2023.

The remaining 25 substances of the 50 substances listed in the previous CoRAP 2021-2023 update are withdrawn from CoRAP, as for 6 of these, the data is already considered sufficient to clarify the initial concerns, while for 19, relevant information is or will be requested under dossier evaluation processes.
