In essence, paper is a virtuous material whose recycling is rather simple. However, its fragility does not allow it to fulfill all uses. The Italian supplier has therefore worked on the design of a new generation of more resistant paper: Materia Viva Metamorphosis. This range was presented at the Paris Packaging Week 2023.
“Materia Viva Metamorphosis papers are, according to the references, resistant to scratches, grease, stains, mildew and water. They are translucent, metallic, rigid and elastic. They are impact resistant, tear resistant, foldable, heat resistant and light resistant. They bypass the use of plastic or other polluting substances and avoid any lamination operation. The products or packaging put on the market become 100% recyclable,” explains the supplier.
For the beauty sector, these packs can be used to package soaps, solid care products or single-dose products. “Materia Viva Metamorphosis claims an optimal quality of papers rich in natural fibers and recycled materials (from 20 to 100%). This range is the result of the group’s 20-year-long commitment to helping its customers achieve creativity and reduce their environmental impact.”
Materia Viva Metamorphosis papers are therefore an alternative to plastic. Fedrigoni also offers a custom design service where it is possible to integrate several different protections.
