Clarins opts for "eco-responsible" freight

Clarins opte pour du frêt "écoresponsable"

The French cosmetics group has just announced that it has entrusted the transportation of its goods to Neoline, a ship owner recognized for its commitment to the environment. This will to improve the freight of its products is part of Clarins’ CSR strategy to reduce its carbon footprint.

Maritime transport, which is essential for the transport of goods, has a strong ecological impact. It alone accounts for 7% of global oil consumption. In 2018, 139 million tons of CO2 were released into the atmosphere in 2018 by cargo ships entering and leaving the EU, for example. The use of ships is a real issue.

It is therefore with a view to responsibility and ecological transition that Clarins is betting on a “greener” freight, in collaboration with Neoline. This new French shipowner offers a generation of pilot ships propelled mainly by wind power.
“Neoline offers a unique solution, open to all shippers, which allows to reduce by 90% the CO2 emissions linked to the maritime transport of goods on a transatlantic line compared to a conventional vessel of the same size.
