Corporate social responsibility is becoming increasingly important for employees. For them, it is vital to work for an organisation (in all sectors, including cosmetics) that works for the common good. This quest for meaning on the part of employees is highlighted in the latest OpinionWay survey for Fondation Face.
The survey was conducted between 24 and 28 October 2024. A total of 1102 French employees were interviewed.
Initial results
For respondents, companies have a role to play in:
• Combating inequality and discrimination (86%)
• Fighting for respect for human rights (86%)
• Contributing to a just ecological transition (84%)
• Integrating people experiencing exclusion into their workforce (83%)
• Raising employee awareness of inclusion issues (81%)
• Improving social cohesion (81%)
My company… knows a thing or two about CSR!
51% of those surveyed said they were familiar with the CSR policy of the organisation they work for. “However, 54% think that the measures put in place are more a matter of communication than a genuine desire to bring about positive change in society,” comments OpinionWay.
72% of panellists would like their company to get involved in environmental and/or social causes. This is particularly true of the under-35s.
For the participants in the study, it is important for their employer to be a player in society. 74% were proud of their company’s level of social or environmental commitment.
For 72% of respondents, their employer’s commitment strengthens their motivation to do their job every day.
