The Cosmetagora trade show is the leading event of the year for ingredient suppliers. The event allows exhibitors to showcase their active ingredients in illustrative formulas. BASF took advantage of this 17th edition, held in Paris on 14 and 15 January 2025, to launch its latest concepts.

BASF’s formulation concepts are based on four pillars.
Here’s how the ingredient supplier presents them.

Hydration This set of formulas offers immediate moisturising effects with non-greasy, enveloping textures based on long-lasting emollients (alternatives to volatile silicones) and emulsifiers of natural origin.
These include ingredients such as Cetiol Ultimate, Cetiol iSan and Emulgade Verde 10 MS.

Hair care
The hair cleansing and protection segment features effective cleansing products that create a protective barrier on the skin (Lamesoft PO65) and hair (Gluadin Kera P-LM), using gentle alternatives that are easily biodegradable, sulphated surfactants (Plantacare range) and esters or butters of natural origin (Cetiol OE, Cegesoft SB45 TR).

Sun protection
BASF has developed new products to help consumers protect themselves from the sun. The supplier has chosen to work with sensorial galenic formulations such as oils with ingredients from its portfolio (TinomaxTM CC, Tinosorb A2B, Uvinul TS Hydro).

Make-up
This category highlights natural looks with eye and lip products formulated with ingredients derived from renewable raw materials (Cosmedia Gel CC, Cosmedia DC, Verdessence RiceTouch)
