It is already operational, since 2010, but the Grand Ouest (Gretare Western) branch of the Cosmed association will be officially launched on 16 May 2013. The agenda: a more efficient federation of the actors of the cosmetic industry in this area, and as a bonus, a training meeting on innovation.
It is already 49-strong, but looks for many more: indeed, the actors of the cosmetic industry are numerous in this large area, which comprises Brittany, Normandy, Pays de Loire and the Poitou-Charente region. Revived about a year ago, thanks to the initiative of the Guingamp (Brittany) University (UCO) and of Sandrine Morvan (DCLI-C), this Grand Ouest branch has already its Steering Committee and is supported by the national structures of the French association of the SMEs from the cosmetic industry, Cosmed.
On May 16, it will be officially launched during an evening cocktail with industrials and authorities from the region. This is an opportunity for Cosmed to remind everybody of its actions in favor of the businesses, and to listen to the different involved participants when sharing their experiences.
Prior to this evening party, a training course will be given, whose Jean-Claude Le Joliff (Inn2c) will be the speaker, about innovation in the cosmetic sector: why to innovate, how, what are the benefits and the risks, which approaches to follow, which techniques to use…This panel discussion will focus on this notion, a true engine in the development of this industry.
