Nivea’s CSR policy continues to gain momentum. The brand has just unveiled its new project: Nivea Connect. The aim is to combat social isolation and the stigma of loneliness.
The Beiersdorf Group brand conducted a study (in January 2024 involving 8,000 panellists) on isolation. According to the figures, one person in four feels lonely.
What’s more, 86% of those who took part in the survey see isolation as a growing problem. 40% of those surveyed said they see their friends or family less than once a week. Another 54% admitted that asking for help is sometimes complicated.
“Our study has helped us to better understand what social isolation means. One participant said: ‘My friends have moved away, my family is abroad and working remotely has left me feeling disconnected and lonely’. This feeling is all too common, with nine out of ten people expressing a desire to be more caring and connected in their lives,” comments Nivea. *We want to help, but we know we can’t fight social isolation alone. That’s why we’ve teamed up with organisations around the world to take action, work to reduce the stigma around the issue and create meaningful connections’.
