Cosmetic regulations: no, everything is not finished!

Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009 entered into force on 11 July 2013. There, the mass is said? Now we just have to apply the text and we can move on? Cosmetics Europe (ex-Colipa) is the body representing the cosmetic industries and national professional associations at European level. It was on his behalf that Gerald Renner was invited to Chartres to review the Cosmetic Regulations four months after their entry into force.

On 11 July, he recalled, the European Commission welcomed, through of the entry into force of Regulation 1223/2009 :" From today onwards ", she said then," cosmetics sold in shops, whether manufactured in the European Union or in third countries, must fully comply with the provisions of the Cosmetics Regulation, which reinforces safety standards and ensures better information for consumers ".

" Regulation 1223/2009 is fully applicable: the job is done!… and my intervention could stop there ", says Gerald Renner with a little humour today. But… no. The speaker came to Chartres with many things to say, which he summarized as follows: " No, it's not all frozen. Yeah, things are gonna change again! ".
