Perfumery: guidelines to apply the Cosmetics Regulation

undefined

The Cosmetics Regulation, implemented in its entirety on 11 July 2013, implies new obligations for the perfumery distributors. In order to help its members understand and put in place these new requirements, the Frenh Federation of Selective Perfumery (FFPS) has designed a series of short practical guidelines, available on-line.

Reading time
~ 1 minutes

These guides, essentially informative, clearly summarise the new obligations due to the Regulation on cosmetics. Among them: the verifications to implement when taking receipt of goods and the management of cosmetovigilance, i.e. what to do if serious undesirable effects are detected following the use of a cosmetic product.

Easily workable by the small distributors, some guides comprise a check-list or a translation into French of the European form to declare undesirable effects, available only in English.
Further, an information kit, designed for the saleswomen, is also available. These guides have been written with a help by FEBEA, which already did the same work for hair-dressers.
