The Estée Lauder Companies unveils its 2024 sustainability report

For several years now, the cosmetics company has been committed to having a positive impact on society and the planet through its brands. The Estée Lauder Companies has just published its annual report on social impact and sustainable development.

Among the most important figures, the company reports that 71% of its packaging is recyclable, refillable, reusable, recycled or recoverable.
The group also boasts a 23% reduction in water consumption at its direct production sites, enabling them to reach their 2025 target ahead of schedule.
In addition, 81% of its global workforce is made up of women. Finally, The Estée Lauder Companies’ campaign against breast cancer supported more than 60 associations helping sufferers.

“Our sustainability objectives are a key element of our corporate strategy. In fiscal 2024, we achieved several of these goals ahead of schedule, including exceeding our water withdrawal targets,” said Nancy Mahon, Chief Sustainability Officer for The Estée Lauder Companies. “Our social impact initiatives demonstrate our commitment to the communities where we live, work and source our products. The Estée Lauder Companies charitable foundation remains committed to advancing education and leadership opportunities for women and girls, promoting equity and investing in communities. Our brands and employees champion causes that are close to their hearts, whether it’s mental health, disaster relief, equity or women’s leadership.”
