As part of the France Relance plan, Global Bioenergies has been awarded a €500,000 subsidy by the Grand Est Region to complete the construction of the Pomacle unit and launch marketing to the cosmetics industry.
Global Bioenergies announced last spring the decision to build a production unit on the Pomacle site, near Reims. The first phase of the works was launched in the summer of 2021, and will allow production to start in March 2022.
The second phase of work will enable the unit to reach its full capacity, i.e. approximately 100 tonnes per year of isobutene, the derivatives of which will be targeted at the make-up market, the first market selected by the Company because of its high prices.
The financial support of the Grand Est Region, through the granting of a 500,000 euro subsidy within the framework of the Plan France Relance, covers half of the second phase of construction of this industrial tool and reinforces the historical links between Global Bioenergies and the Grand Est region.
