How do you combine durability and ease of use? Albéa’s teams looked into this question and came up with a refillable cup that can be refilled in no time at all. According to the company, the gesture is intuitive and allows the consumer to remove the cup easily.
“Twirl was born of the desire to create a refillable jar incorporating a completely new gesture,” explains Franck Seguin, Packaging Engineer, Albéa Cosmetics & Fragrance. “One of the technical challenges was to design a solution that could be adapted to both opaque and transparent jars, as this meant integrating all the gesture and holding functions of the cup into the smallest possible space. Refillable packaging is a trend that has developed strongly in the skincare market in recent years, and is becoming increasingly popular with consumers wishing to reduce their carbon footprint.”
Twirl is made from recyclable materials (notably polypropylene). It has a 50-ml capacity. It also features a locking system to ensure the stability of the inner cup.
