The French perfume house commissioned Coverpla to design the most durable bottle and cap possible for its latest collection.
The world of perfumery is subject to the same responsible packaging challenges as the rest of the cosmetics industry. The Terre d’Oc brand explains that it was looking for a “prestigious glass bottle with a thick, refillable base”, and selected the Venus model, with a screw ring (for refilling the container).
For the cap, the Lord reference (injected in PHA) caught the brand’s eye.
“PHA is a biopolymer essentially derived from rapeseed oil. This material has mechanical properties comparable to those of PE. It falls into the category of compostable materials,” says Coverpla.
For her part, Audrey Haupt, Marketing Manager at Terre d’Oc said: “For our organic eaux de toilette, we were looking for a glass bottle with a soft, harmonious, rounded shape. We are delighted to have found in Coverpla a partner who shares our values. Thanks to this collaboration, we have been able to create a product that combines elegance and durability.”
