2008: another year of growth for the Christian Dior Group

In its press release, this major luxury brand states that its current operating income was 3621 million euros, up 0.3%. In the current economic context, he adds, this performance is all the more remarkable as it compares to a year 2007 in strong progression.

He continued,"2008 was marked by continued growth by the largest brands, new market share gains, double-digit organic sales growth at Louis Vuitton, which continued to record an exceptional level of profitability, and an excellent performance by Perfumes and Cosmetics and Sephora.

He concluded:"In 2009, Christian Dior Couture's objective, in an uncertain economic environment, is to increase the flexibility of its organization and pursue its strategy of developing emblematic, very high-end products. Given the low visibility over the duration and scale of the current economic crisis, the Christian Dior Group continues to deploy great management rigour in all its businesses. The Group will mobilize its resources in the most profitable activities and markets"…
