“We have explored the different options for texturing applicators, as a vector of differentiation for brands and enrichment of the user experience. In particular by relying on metal 3D printing technology,” the company explains. The company has therefore designed different tips compatible with two of its tubes (the Fresh and the Tense) made of PCR.

The different applicators, made of stainless steel, aim to bring a benefit to the formula (efficiency booster) and to offer the consumer a new gesture.
Depending on the model, it is possible to have a massaging, decongesting or relaxing action.
“Depending on brand demand, we are able to develop new exclusive designs,” adds Cosmogen. “The latest launch, Caudalie’s Premier Cru eye cream, won a Formes de Luxe award. The cool metallic massaging applicator decongests, smoothes and reduces puffiness for a visibly younger look. The removable tip illustrates the brand’s commitment to environmental responsibility.”

With 3D printing, the production capacity is 20,000 pieces in five hours. Cosmogen said its applicators would enter the industrial phase in one to two years.
