The government has announced that from 11 May (if all the elements allow it), France will gradually deconflict. For cosmetic companies, this means the reopening of sales outlets and beauty salons, as well as the return of staff to production sites. How best to begin this slight return to normal? Patrick O’Quin, President of the FEBEA, answered CosmeticOBS’ questions.

CosmeticOBS: With the end of containment and the hoped-for recovery of the economy, what advice can be given to businesses to approach this period as effectively as possible?

Patrick O’Quin : Our role as a trade federation is obviously not to give guidance to companies on their strategy for recovery.
On the other hand, we can provide them with two types of elements to help them in this delicate period.
Firstly, to provide answers to their many questions, and we have started from the very beginning of the crisis to help them on many subjects, such as how to adjust payment deadlines, what flexibilities are possible in terms of commercial leases, how to use working time arrangements, in other words short-time working, how to continue export operations to certain countries despite the closure of many administrative services and postal difficulties, and all these questions will remain topical.
Secondly, to defend the interests of cosmetics companies with the public authorities in the context of the recovery measures that are going to be taken.
