Full marks for the Italian paper manufacturer. For the third year running, the company has been awarded the platinum medal by EcoVadis. It should be noted that only 1% of the companies assessed by the organisation manage to win this award.
EcoVadis is a platform for assessing corporate sustainability. This year, Fedrigoni achieved a score of 90/100 for its CSR practices. This good result is due in particular to the group’s performance in the “environment”, “sustainable procurement” and “carbon management” categories.
“This result is an incentive for us to continue striving for excellence, together with our stakeholders and customers,” says Marco Nespolo, Group CEO. “We are striving every day and in every area to achieve our CSR objectives for 2030, with a continuous improvement approach guided in particular by the feedback we receive through assessments such as that carried out by EcoVadis. These indicators enable us to take corrective action year after year, improving from one assessment to the next until, in just five years, we have achieved results of which we can be truly proud.”
But the Italian company has no intention of resting on its laurels. Its roadmap to 2030 is already known. Between now and then, the group intends to reduce its CO2 emissions by 30%, cut its water consumption, better manage its waste and extend its range of 100% recyclable papers to its customers (in the beauty industry in particular).
