Four cosmetics companies receive CDP Triple A rating

Quatre entreprises cosmétiques obtiennent le Triple A du CDP

As it does every year, the Carbon Disclosure Project (a non-profit organization that measures the environmental performance of companies) evaluates several thousand manufacturers according to their actions to fight global warming, preserve forests and save water. The CDP has just published the results. L’Oréal, Beiserdorf, LVMH and Firmenich received an A in each category.

The CDC’s Triple A is a precious sesame. Nearly 20,000 companies were scrutinized. 330 companies made the 2022 “A List”, but only 12 managed to get all three A’s.
In addition to L’Oréal, Beiserdorf, LVMH and Firmenich, Metsä Board (a supplier of paper and cardboard packaging) is included in the ranking.

To evaluate companies, the CDP assigns a grade from A to D based on the completeness of the information provided and the management of environmental risks. The CDP is also attentive to the sustainable projects and objectives that manufacturers set for themselves.

L’Oréal, Beiserdorf, LVMH, Firmenich and Metsä Board were all pleased with their ranking and expressed their desire to continue their environmental efforts in this direction.
For his part, Maxfield Weiss, Director of CDP Europe, explained that “CDP has seen nearly 20,000 companies report environmental information this year, including 70% of European companies by market value. COP 27 showed that the need for transformative change is more critical than ever if we are to limit warming to 1.5 degrees. We need to cut emissions in half and eliminate deforestation by 2030, while ensuring water conservation on the same time scale. CDP A-List members indicate that they are ahead …
