Cosmébio, the Professional Association of Ecological and Organic Cosmetics, for the first time draws up a Barometer of the commitment of its member companies. The figures published, collected from 147 members who responded to the questionnaire sent out at the beginning of 2014, show that progress has been made;s achieved by the collective vis-à-vis respect for Mankind (CSR and Fair Trade) and respect for Nature (Environment and Biodiversity).

To confirm the commitment of its collective and assume its responsibility within the sector and towards the Company, the Cosmébio association has committed itself to draw up a Barometer of the commitment of its 375 member companies. More than a label affixed to more than 9,000 product references, it is a commitment that the first World Association of Ecological and Organic Cosmetics advocates. This barometer aims to draw up an inventory, objectives and progress achieved by companies on 4 founding themes (Corporate Social Responsibility, Fair Trade, Environment and Biodiversity).
Corporate Social Responsibility (or CSR)
To remember : 3/4 of Cosmébio members improve the well-being of their employees (+ 41 %!). 50% of members act to reduce inequality and discrimination (+6%). 62% of members participate in local economic and social development (+13%).
Fair trade and solidarity
To remember : Almost 1 in 2 Cosmébio members is involved in Fair Trade (44%). 14 % of members are Fair Trade certified (+8%). 10% of members are involved in a Fairtrade collective (+11%).
Environment
