The US and UK lip care segments generate impressive retail sales

Lip balm was once a simple response to dry lips, but lip care has now become integrated into consumers’ daily skincare routine to promote healthy skin. In the US, lip treatment has outpaced all other facial skincare sectors - including facial cleansers and moisturisers – and sales have increased by a formidable 24% from 2012 to 2014.

Similarly, in the UK, retail value sales of lip care generated the greatest percentage increase within the facial skincare segment, rising 13% from £53 million to £60 million.
