What's the current state of digitalisation of businesses?

The inclusion of new technological tools is a subject of interest to business leaders. The survey carried out by IFOP for Oxygen/Mastercard takes stock of the level of maturity of business leaders with regard to the digitalisation of their organisation.

The survey was conducted among a sample of 613 owners of very small businesses (all industries combined). The interviews were conducted by telephone between 29 April and 27 May 2024.

What “tech” tools have respondents put in place?
They have a website to present their business (72%), HR management software (69%) and a business page on social networks such as Facebook or LinkedIn (67%).
Nearly six out of ten VSEs have sales management software (62%) and Internet referencing or optimisation (58%). Other equipment is only present in a minority of cases: communication tools such as Skype and Teams (44%), e-commerce websites (30%) and click & collect solutions (14%). IFOP found that “18% of VSEs have at least one digitalisation project underway.”

The question of security

In a world where new technologies are evolving rapidly, the respondents indicate that the protection of sensitive data and information is a key issue (second only to the mental health of employees).
