YSL Beauty wants to help restore nature

YSL Beauté veut aider à restaurer la nature

Committed to the fight against global warming, the L’Oréal Group brand has entered into a partnership with the NGO Re:wild to help reforest and regenerate biodiversity in certain areas of the world. After setting up restoration programs in Morocco, Haiti, Madagascar and Indonesia, the two organizations are now looking to Colombia and the Bahamas.

“75% of all ecosystems have been degraded. More than a million species are on the brink of extinction,” explains the brand. “Our mission is to preserve and rehabilitate 100,000 hectares of our planet by 2030.”

YSL Beauté and Re:wild, through the Rewild Our Earth program, have launched two new initiatives.
In the Bahamas, the aim will be to protect the iguanas of White Cay, one of the world’s most endangered lizards.
In Colombia, the project will contribute to the restoration of 3,579 hectares of buffer zones (neutral areas located between two plots of land) in the Chiribiquete and La Paya national parks in central Amazonia.
