Advent calendars are in vogue!

They are becoming an essential part of the pre-holiday season, both in supermarkets and in the luxury sector (there are still very few in pharmacies). Whether you’re a fan of perfume, nail polish, make-up, hair care or skincare, there’s something to suit every taste and every price! Two major trends stand out: specialisation (hair, nail polish, perfume, etc.) and re-use.

Christmas 2024 will truly be the year of the advent calendar! They’re becoming more and more popular, and even brands like Chanel, which is all about No. 5, are now offering one.
Consumers have realised that they are getting a good deal by buying these calendars, which increasingly feature sales formats and exclusive products, as long as they carefully check their content (they must contain new products and not products that will soon be discontinued) and the number of boxes (24 or 25 depending on the brand).

Luxury brands are investing massively in this area, from Dior (Le 30 Montaigne, 24 creations including an 85g Bois des Rêves candle, €600), to Guerlain (La Ruche des Merveilles, including a sensational Rouge G ‘endiamanté’ Le Strassé in box 25, €620), Clarins (€149) and all the L’Oréal Luxe brands: Lancôme (€195 including five products in sale format), Giorgio Armani (€313), Yves Saint Laurent (€320), Kiehl’s (€99, actual value: €303).
