Mascaras : le charme discret du brun

The chocolate shade is making its way into mascaras this spring! Softer than black, more appropriate for blondes or redheads, its shade is deep without being too harsh for light eyes.

The desire for softness takes hold of the mascaras that, as the summer approaches, are tinged with brown. Starting with Yves Saint Laurent (Mascara Volume Extrême Brun Lash Clash, €35.50) and L’Oréal Paris (Mascara Volume Million de Cils Baume Brun, €13.90), the two references in terms of volume. The first created the perfect brown, as deep as intense, by mixing yellow, red and black pigments. It puts its extreme volume (it’s the thickest formula ever developed by the L’Oréal group laboratories) at the service of a more natural lash finish. The second is warm brown, infused with caffeine and containing 97% natural ingredients.

The universal seduction of brown also takes hold of Too Faced’s Better Than Sex Mascara in the gourmand shade Chocolate (€29.90).
This iconic mascara with its hourglass-shaped brush fleshes out, defines and lengthens lashes. A film-forming polymer maintains their curvature, while peptides revitalize the lashes. All this in a chocolate brushed metal packaging.

The brown color is still in evidence in Innoxa mascaras with an 88% biobased formula that earns a staggering 100/100 rating for a mascara on Yuka (Mascara Volume or Allongeant Belle & Good Nature, €17.50 each).
