Pea extract (INCI: Pisum Sativum (Pea) Extract) is mainly used to reactivate the rapid growth of dandruff (hair, eyelashes or eyebrows).
Rich in phyto-nutrients (proteins, vitamins, starch and fiber), it redensifies and fortifies hair follicles.
It can be found in various forms, such as pea peptides (most commonly used), which strengthen and maintain healthy hair follicle cells. They also help anchor hair to the scalp.

These pea peptides are present in Typology’s Eyelash and Brow Serum containing 2% pea peptide and castor oil (€18.90), in Maison Flamel’s entire S8 Anti-Hair Loss range (Shampoing Lacté Volume, Force & Antichute, 200 ml, €44; Velouté Capillaire Masque Cheveux Volume & Antichute, 200 ml, €116; Lait Capillaire Spray Coiffant Antichute & Volume, 100 ml, €66.50; Elixir Capillaire Soin Antichute & Stimulateur de Repousse, 50 ml, €53), in the Sérum Cheveux peptides & extrait de pois, Fortifiant, densifiant & antichute by Aroma-Zone (refillable bottle 50 ml, €10.95), the Brow Plume Perfection Feutre + Soin à Sourcils by Mi. Ré (€48), The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Serum For Hair Density (60 ml, €23.20) or Miyé’s certified organic Anti-Hair Loss Densifying Serum (50 ml, €35), combined with plant keratin and spirulina extract.
