Pore-smoothing primers
Springtime often brings with it a desire for lighter (or even non-existent) makeup and a revealed skin texture.
Until now, when we wanted to improve the appearance of pores or skin texture, we mostly turned to primers, these foundation products that optically blur and smooth the skin surface.
Among the latest products, they all claim a pore minimizing action, like those of BareMinerals (Prime Time Pore-Minimizing base, €33), Morphe 2 (Pore Perfecting Stick, €14), Rare Beauty (Always On Optimist Pore Diffusing Foundation, mini 15 ml, €18 or 28 ml, €32) and Milk Makeup (Pore Eclipse Mattifying Primer, 40 ml, €36).
The latter also offers an alcohol-free spray that sets makeup and blurs pores for a blurred matte finish (Pore Eclipse Mattifying Setting Spray, 85 ml, €29.90). Their star ingredients?
Niacinamide, bakuchiol and smoothing microspheres that blur pores.
