Recall of Tinti bath balls for children

undefined

Two models of cosmetic bath balls for children, from the Tinti brand, are the subject of this recall procedure, launched by the French Fraud Control DGCCRF. Reason: an ingestion hazard leading to a “non-negligible danger". Consumers are warned not to use these products and to bring them back to the store: they shall be reimbursed.

The recall targets:
The Bain Magique (Magic Bath): a box of three balls (red, blue, yellow) – Bar code: 4030651033535,
The Bain Magique (Magic Bath): a box of one ball (green) – Bar code: 4030651030657.

These two products have been found as non compliant with the EN-71-1 European standard on toys.

Designed for more-than-36 month-old children, they are cosmetic bath balls that, when dissolved in the bath water, release a water-soluble capsule, which contain a toy-sponge.

After the fraud laboratory, “an ingestion hazard has been detected, leading to a not-negligible danger of suffocation/choking, or bowel obstruction, danger.”
Consequently, these Tinti bath balls cannot be marketed as they are, and must be withdrawn from the French market.

Consumers who may have some shall return them to the store for reimbursement.
