Clarins is experimenting reusable packages.

The issue of over-packaging is on everyone’s mind. That’s why Clarins decided to conduct a large-scale trial with Hipli, a company created by two French women, which offers reusable packages made of PET and Polypropylene. These packs can be used more than 100 times, they reduce the carbon impact of shipping by 77% and avoid 25 kg of household waste. Several formats exist. But for the circle to be virtuous, it is of course necessary that consumers play the game and return the pouches (already stamped).

For the moment, the concept is being tested on the group’s loyalty program, My Clarins. But if the tests are conclusive, perhaps it will be extended to all Clarins activities.
