MakeMyMask wins the French Tech grant from the BPI

MakeMyMask obtient la Bourse French Tech de la BPI

The young brand MakeMyMask, which combines tailor-made products with home cosmetics to offer turnkey hair care, has just won the French Tech grant from the BPI (a Public Investment Bank), which aims to support innovative projects from companies with high growth potential. Worth €30,000, it will enable the brand to strengthen itself and develop the algorithm that enables the online diagnosis.

Founded in 2019 by Doctor of Pharmacy Julie Pernet, MakeMyMask offers a hair care range, consisting of DIY kits that allow the reconstruction of masks based on natural ingredients for the scalp. Very simply, from 3 raw ingredients - a sachet of detoxifying and fortifying powder, a bottle of nourishing vegetable oil, a bottle of essential oil to beautify and treat - selected to measure thanks to an online diagnosis, the consumer obtains a fresh and personalised mask.
The first order comes with a reusable glass jar, a mixing ball and an applicator brush.
In addition to the mask range, the brand offers a shampoo and a nourishing balm specially designed to rinse out the mask and maintain the hair.

MakeMyMask has chosen to produce 100% French products by working with craftsmen, small businesses and integration centres for people with disabilities in the founder’s home town (Vesoul, in eastern France).
With organic and natural raw materials, reusable, refillable and eco-responsible packaging, MakeMyMask is working for the Planet by reducing its consumption of plastic, favouring materials such as wood, glass and cardboard.
