Haut.AI makes skin scans "anonymous"

Haut.AI rend "anonyme" le scan de peau

Haut.AI is one of the pioneers in skin analysis using artificial intelligence. Confidentiality being a key issue in the use of new technologies, the company has just announced that it has obtained a US patent for its ‘Skin Atlas’ system for anonymising facial images.

Many consumers are reluctant to carry out a skin diagnosis on the Internet, because they don’t know how their photos will be used afterwards. To solve this problem, Haut.AI has designed ‘Skin Atlas’.

“Firstly, key points on the face are detected to normalise the image, then the skin pixels are separated from the other pixels, which is essential for accurate analysis. The system then generates photorealistic skin patterns to fill in the non-skin areas, creating a fully anonymised image. This process eliminates irrelevant data, such as hair and background details,” the company explains. “The anonymisation process ensures that all identifying features, such as eyes, mouth, hair and background details, are removed, focusing solely on the skin. This protects privacy and improves the accuracy of our assessments by eliminating potential bias due to irrelevant information.”
