Our Serendipol project in Sri Lanka is now the world’s leading manufacturer of certified organic fair trade certified organic coconut oil.
This project provides both the Dr.Bronner’s cosmetic coconut oil, as the flagship raw material in our range of soaps and milks, and also produces high quality native coconut oil for our food range.
This project has a positive impact on more than 1000 farmers and employees through its fair wage policy, exemplary working conditions and agricultural training.
A fair fund is used for community-led projects to improve health, sanitation, education and infrastructure.

Organic hemp oil
Dr. Bronner’s uses hemp oil in all of its cosmetic products because it contains an unparalleled level of essential fatty acids, which resemble the natural structure of sebum in the skin.

Dr.Bronner’s was founded in 1948 by Emmanuel Bronner, a Jewish-German soap maker from father to son for three generations.
He used the labels of his high quality and ecological soaps to spread his message: let us unite religious and ethnic divisions because we run to our loss if not: “We are only one or nothing!”
Emmanuel Bronner died peacefully on 7 March 1997.
Even today the company is run by the Bronner family.
