Millenials, source intarissable d'inspirations cosmétiques

The Millenials (or Generation Y) have fascinated the beauty industry for several years now. Born between 1980 and the year 2000, they have their own way of consuming. Digital addicts, sensitive to the environment, interested in novelty, they are shaking up the codes. On the occasion of the Cosmétagora 2020 trade show, dedicated to formulation, some suppliers of raw materials had fun showcasing their active ingredients in products imagined for the Millenials. A way of inspiring and helping brands to meet the expectations of this sometimes hard-to-grasp target.

“What characterizes this generation is the quest for meaning,” explains Ami Ingredients, a distributor of raw materials. The Millenials are informed consumers, attentive to the ecological and ethical dimension of the products. They opt for products with natural ingredients, from sustainable sources and are particularly affected by the notion of revalorization of co-products and animal welfare. At the same time, another striking feature is their ability to use new technologies. They are very sensitive to the means of communication, particularly the networks on which they spend nearly 2h38 per day. For this generation, daily life is as much lived in real life as it is on the networks”.

Hard to grasp, these Millenials…
