Welcome to the hygienic era

Bienvenue dans l'ère de l'hygiène

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed some habits and has put the issue of hygiene back at the center of the debate. All the health authorities agree that the best way to protect oneself is to respect the barrier gestures and to adopt a strict cleaning of the hands. And it would seem that consumers are rather rigorous in applying these recommendations.

At the end of the first half of 2020, a survey was carried out by the OnePoll survey institute on behalf of the company Citron, which specializes in the wholesale of hygiene and disinfection products. The survey was conducted in England, with a sample size of 2,000 people.

Before the Covid-19 pandemic began, the panelists said :
• They wash their hands five times a day in about 13 seconds
• They never have hydroalcoholic gel nearby (47%)
• They sneeze and dont washing their hands afterwards (30%)

After the onset of the health crisis, respondents said :
• They wash their hands eight times a day for 19 seconds
• They use much more hydroalcoholic gel than before (50%)
• They sneeze and dont wash hands directly (15%)
The study also reveals that 58% of consumers are anxious about going to the store. The lack of confidence in disinfecting and cleaning the premises is great and it is up to the different brands to reassure their customers. The adoption of a reliable and strict sanitary protocol is therefore more than necessary.
