Towards chocolate therapy?

With Easter fast approaching, it seemed to me that the theme of chocolate, recently addressed in the columns of the Observatory of Cosmetics, would still be relevant. Two recent articles allow us to focus on this ingredient and to consider what some might call"chocolate therapy" by analogy to other themes such as"vinotherapy".

With Easter fast approaching, it seemed to me that the theme of chocolate, recently addressed in the columns of the Observatory of Cosmetics, would still be relevant. Two recent articles allow us to focus on this ingredient and to consider what some might call"chocolate therapy" by analogy to other themes such as"vinotherapy".

The first article points to its interest as a kind of probiotic. They say that dark chocolate is good for the heart morale and many other things. A team from Louisiana State University (Baton Rouge, USA) has just brought new elements: the intestinal flora would be responsible. The results were presented at the American Chemical Society in Dallas. "In our gut, the"good ones germs "as the bifidobacterium and lactobacilli feed on chocolate." says Maria Moore, one of the study participants. " By eating dark chocolate, you provide them with what they need to grow and ferment. In return, they produce substances anti-inflammatories ". This helps to counteract the inflammatory actions of"bad" bacteria such as Clostridium difficile and certain pathogenic strains of …
