UK: no more animal testing for cosmetic ingredientsSubscribers only

This should put an end to the controversy that has been raging for some time in the UK on the very critical issue of cosmetic ingredients tested on animals. And it took a ruling from the High Court of Justice in London for the government to officially announce on 17 May 2023 that no more licences would be granted.

Methyl-n-Methylanthranilate, HAA299: UK aligns with EuropeSubscribers only

The United Kingdom has just notified the WTO of its proposed revision of the Cosmetics Regulation as it applies in the UK (England, Wales, Scotland). The aim is to align the conditions of use of two ingredients, Methyl-n-Methylanthranilate (a fragrance ingredient) and the UV filter Bis-(Diethylaminohydroxybenzoyl Benzoyl) Piperazine (HAA299) with those already in force in the European Union.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has just announced that it will stop accepting submissions to the Voluntary Cosmetic Registration Program (VCRP) as of 27 March 2023.
