The fifth meeting of the French Cosmetics Sector Committee was held on 28 January 2025 under the chairmanship of the Minister for Industry and Energy, Marc Ferracci. The co-organisers, the Cosmetic Valley competitiveness cluster and the Federation of Beauty Companies (FEBEA), have published the minutes of the meeting.
The meeting brought together around thirty industry spokespeople, representing every link in the value chain (suppliers, manufacturers, distributors) and demonstrating the complete integration of the sector “from plant to product”. Participants included companies of all sizes: young brands, SMEs, ETIs and major groups.
A major sector for the French economy
This industry committee underlines the strategic role played by the cosmetics industry in the French economy, in the eyes of the public authorities. A leader in Europe and the rest of the world, the sector’s export performance is constantly improving. It is a symbol of France’s manufacturing excellence and international influence.
During the discussions, an assessment was made of industrial investment in the sector: in 2024, 19 new investment projects were launched, in addition to the 19 others initiated in 2023. At the root of this dynamic is the strength of Made in France, which not only accelerates innovation, but also provides powerful support for the creation of skilled jobs in the regions.
