Les marques françaises gagnent en puissance

Like every year, Kantar unveils its Kantar BrandZ Top 50 France. This ranking gathers the most valued French brands. The value of the 50 strongest French brands has increased by 30% since 2021… and cosmetics has a lot to do with it as it is the second most represented category.

“The cumulative value of the 50 most powerful French brands has increased by 30% over the past two years, to more than $424 billion, up from $325 billion in 2021,” says Kantar.

Top 10

We find at the top of the ranking:
• Louis Vuitton
• Hermès
• Chanel
• L’Oréal Paris
• Lancôme
• Orange
• Garnier
• Dior
• Cartier
• Carrefour

Cosmetics are the best in the game

“The luxury sector is naturally the most important in the ranking (it alone contributes 58% of the total value) and is the fastest growing (+50% since 2021, or $244 billion). Indeed, French luxury brands can rely on their relationship with their consumers to strengthen loyalty and justify ever higher prices. Beyond luxury, health and beauty is the second largest category, accounting for 17% of the total value of the top ($71 billion, up 20% compared to 2021),” Kantar analyzes.

In the rest of the ranking, we find La Roche-Posay (#23), Clarins (#36), L’Occitane en Provence (#40), Vichy (#41) and Guerlain (#50).
