Healthcare and cosmetics represent two particularly promising sectors for the French offer. Our country enjoys an international reputation for excellence in both areas. SMEs account for the vast majority of the industrial fabric (95%), a higher proportion than their main competitors (75% for Switzerland, for example). These SMEs export mainly to European markets and struggle to open the doors to large exports due to a lack of critical mass. Indeed, the necessary steps to register their products in the most promising markets are long and costly. Their price varies on average from 90,000 euros for cosmetic products, to 300,000 euros for health products, for a registration on the 5 most promising markets. If clinical trials have to be carried out, the bill can amount to several million euros. A reality that discourages most SMEs and makes these markets inaccessible;

To meet these major challenges for France's trade balance, on the impetus of the State and in partnership with business federations, UBIFRANCE has developed the"Export+ Health Cosmetics" programme, combining export advice and financing. To this end, the Agency will manage a 4.4 million euro fund allocated within the framework of Future Investments;
