The information is available on the ECHA website. The French classification proposal dossier has been submitted. The next stage will be public consultation.

What is the Anses’ position on titanium dioxide in cosmetic products where there is a risk of ingestion? Should it be considered prohibited?

Anses has published an opinion on titanium dioxide. This opinion responds to a question put by the ministries, which did not concern this point. We have answered a number of questions, particularly in relation to the relevance of grouping. We were not asked to work on the oral side. It should be noted that the SCCS requested additional data on this aspect. So it’s something that’s ongoing. As far as bans are concerned, Anses does not ban substances. That’s not our mission.
