Jean-Claude Le Joliff, former Director of the R&D Laboratories (Research & Development) of the Bourjois-Chanel group and President of the Inn2C Cosmetic Innovation consulting company, came to enlighten us on the new innovations and trends in so-called"instrumental" beauty and accessory cosmetics. Still as passionate and exciting as ever, he delivers us his new notes of astonishment.

Innovation in the cosmetics sector

Since the 1980s and the beginning of vectorization, cosmetic innovation has emerged in various forms, and sometimes even unexpected ! One of the strong current trends is an all-round accessorization of cosmetics, to bring complementary answers to consumers. The mascara is equipped with a vibrating applicator to optimize its application, the foundation with an integrated brush applicator. Innovative devices, using light therapy (against acne and skin ageing), ultrasound (which promotes the penetration of active ingredients, and which also have an anti-wrinkle action), radiofrequency (firming action and fight against ageing), or even cold (firming) or heat (which kills bacteria responsible for acne problems) have moved from the cabins of specialized beauty salons to private bathrooms.
