The natural cosmetics brand has just launched its Save Earth’s Skin movement. The objective is to treat the soil without aggressive products, to cultivate them with the principles of biodynamics and to participate in the preservation of diversity.
Soils are essential to the environmental balance. “They are the skin of our Earth, feeding humans, plants and animals. However, more than a third of the planet’s soils are currently under threat. Every year, deforestation, erosion and sealing cause us to lose billions of tons of this precious ecosystem that we desperately need,” explains Weleda. “Our commitment to the soil is at the heart of all our raw material supplies, as it is the key to prosperity. Without healthy soil, we cannot address the crisis facing the planet today.”
In collaboration with Arizona Muse, the charity DIRT and the Sustainable Soil Alliance, Weleda launched the Save Earth’s Skin movement. As a result, the brand has pledged to plant one tree for every SkinFood product sold in the UK between April and June 2022.
In addition, Weleda is pledging an additional €400,000 to projects dedicated to soil conservation around the world.

The movement is also collaborative. Weleda invites consumers to share their sustainable actions on social media with the hashtag #SaveEarthsSkin.
